NORDICA TROCHITA

In the northern area of Latvia still does a "tronchita" , a branch of 35-40 km with 3 or 4 trains a day service, is a regular sevice and no museum or something similar.
It has a gauge of 75 cm and equipment is of Soviet times and met nearly 100 years. No danger of that desaparesca because state standards and fully understood its historical value.

Until the '70s was in Estonia a network of the most developed of tronchitas throughout Europe, but it all disappeared, except for a branch museum Lavasaare.

Until very recently (2-3 years) also worked some branches in Lithuania, is unclear now whether they are enough funds to continue as museum or a branch.

The situation here in Finland is such as Estonian, is a single branch museum (but very well maintained).
